Veolia: Moody's confirms 'Baa1' rating, stable outlook

(CercleFinance.com) - Moody's Investors Service a annoncé vendredi confirmer la note à long terme "Baa1" attribuée à Veolia, ainsi que sa perspective "stable", suite à l'officialisation du projet de rachat de Suez.


Moody's Investors Service on Friday confirmed its "Baa1" long-term rating on Veolia, as well as its "stable" outlook, following its official announcement of the proposed acquisition of Suez.

In a statement, Moody's said it expects Veolia to take appropriate decisions to protect its credit quality.

In particular, the rating agency said it expects a capital increase and asset disposals to ensure that the acquisition does not adversely affect its capital position.

The short-term "Prime-2" rating on the group's commercial paper was also confirmed.
