Veolia: 60% increase in Q1 underlying net income

(CercleFinance.com) - Veolia has announced that Q1 2021 underlying net income, group share of 188 million euros, up 59.
8% (+64% excluding financial capital gains), along with EBITDA of 1.08 billion euros, up 11.2% (+8.7% LFL).

Sales increased by 2% to 6.81 billion euros (+3% on an organic basis), thanks to robust commercial momentum, although slowed down by commercial and industrial waste volumes, which continue to suffer from the health crisis.

In spite of the continuing health crisis in the first part of the year, Veolia confirms its outlook and believes that it should more than offset the unfavourable effects of 2020, expecting to achieve strong earnings growth.
