Veolia: Finance Minister wants friendly outcome in Suez case
(CercleFinance.com) - Invited for an interview with the RTL radio station yesterday, Bruno Le Maire, Minister of Economy, Finance and Recovery particularly spoke about the Veolia/Suez case.
Questioned about the offers of the Ardian and GIP funds, which presented themselves as candidates for the purchase of 100% of Suez's capital, the minister said that since the beginning he has been behind reaching a friendly solution in the case.
Recalling that the businesses of Veolia and Suez, which he hailed as two great champions, were strategic for the country Bruno Le Maire pleaded for a friendly deal.
Pointing out the current context and major economic tensions, the minister called on the company directors to show a sense of responsibility and to choose friendly rather than unfriendly options.
