Veolia: new contract with Anglogold Ashanti

(CercleFinance.com) - The group has signed a new contract with AngloGold Ashanti Ghana Limited, a subsidiary of the South African mining company AngloGold Ashanti, the world's third largest gold producer.

It will be in charge of the operation and maintenance of all the water treatment plants at his Obuasi mine in Ghana, a contract lasting 3 years.

Six facilities are required to guarantee the quality of water treatment and discharges related to the operation of the Obuasi gold mine by AngloGold Ashanti: 4 wastewater treatment plants and 2 drinking water treatment plants.

This new contract confirms Veolia's expertise in the treatment of water and industrial waste, which are key for the mining industry, said Christophe Maquet, director of Africa and Middle-East zone at Veolia.
