Veolia: could make one billion dollars from a disposal

(CercleFinance.com) - According to Bloomberg, Veolia is receiving offers of over 1 billion dollars (around 875 million euros at the current exchange rate) for its North American heating and cooling operations, which it recently placed under review.


The "first round" of bidding is expected to occur next month, Bloomberg adds.

The assets in question could whet the appetite of candidates such as Enwave Energy, Engie, Algonquin Power & Utilities and even Epcor Utilities.

The French utilities group is considering the sale of these activities under a strategic plan that will be announced "early next year," Bloomberg adds.
