Veolia: signs contract with Republic of Uzbekistan

(CercleFinance.com) - Veolia has signed a memorandum of understanding for the modernisation of the drinking water and wastewater production and distribution service in the Uzbek capital, Tashkent.


This contract was signed when the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirzioev, made an official visit to France.

Veolia will manage the facilities for the production and distribution of drinking water and the treatment of wastewater for 25 years, along with the development and improvement of the performance of the water distribution network in Tashkent, and the monitoring of investments for network modernisation in collaboration with the authorities.

This new contract is expected to start in the first half of 2019 and will generate cumulative revenues of 1.5 billion euros.
