Veolia: contract for Ovilleéo station in Lille.

(CercleFinance.com) - Veolia has said that its subsidiary OTV Exploitation has been awarded by the European Metropolis of Lille (MEL), the public contract of Ovilléo, a wastewater treatment plant in Marquette-lez-Lille, for an approximately 40 million euros over a five-year term.

With a purification capacity for the equivalent of 620,000 inhabitants, Ovilléo represents the largest new generation wastewater treatment plant in northern France. It can process a volume equivalent to 11 Olympic swimming pools per hour.

Ovilléo has two separate lines, separately processing wastewater (flow of 2.8 m3/s) and stormwater (maximum flow of 5.3 m3/s) from 37 towns of the Lille Metropolis. Its biogas production makes it possible to cover about 94% of the site's thermal energy needs.
