Schneider Electric: about to acquire RIB Software

(CercleFinance.com) - Schneider Electric has said that it intends to acquire a majority stake in RIB Software by way of a voluntary takeover bid, at a price of 29 euros per share, representing a 41% premium compared to the last closing price.


The transaction values 100% of this company at around 1.4 billion euros. The offer is backed by RIB Software's board of directors and it is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2020, subject to obtaining regulatory approvals.

Based in Stuttgart and listed in Frankfurt, RIB has nearly 2,700 employees, spread over more than 50 sites worldwide, generating revenues of 214 million euros with an EBITDA margin of 23.4% in 2019.
