Schneider: advances aims in carbon neutrality

(CercleFinance.com) - Schneider Electric has announced its carbon-neutral ambition with three new commitments.


The group wants to accelerate its aim for carbon neutrality throughout its ecosystem in 2025 - instead of 2030, i.e. 5 years ahead of schedule.

Schneider is targeting zero net operational emissions by 2030 as part of a target that has been validated by the Science Based Targets initiative.

The group is also working with its suppliers to achieve zero net emissions in its supply chain by 2050.

These measures are intended to help limit the global rise in temperatures to below 1.5° C, in line with the group's conclusions of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (GIEC), management said.
