Havas: acquisition in India.

(CercleFinance.com) - After the market closed on Wednesday, Havas announced its takeover of Sorento, an Indian media agency specialised in health and well-being.


This strategic deal will enable Publicis to beef up its presence on the booming Indian market, as well as boosting its offer for global clients.

The agency will be attached to the "Havas Health & You" business unit and will be renamed "Havas Life Sorento".

Amongst its international clients Sorento has several major groups such as Abbott and Johnson & Johnson, as well as local pharmaceutical players like ainsi Alkem, Dr. Reddy's, Finlinea Healthwits, Glenmark and even Torrent.
