Dassault Aviation: FY earnings up 66%

(CercleFinance.com) - Dassault Aviation has reported net income of 681 million euros for 2018, compared with 410 million euros in 2017 (pro-forma IFRS 15), bringing its EPS to 82.
1 euros.
The group will propose a dividend payment of 21.2 euros per share in 2019, meanings a stable payout of 26%.

Partially inflated by the compensation received from Safran following the termination of the Silvercrest contract, the group's operating margin improved by 5.9 points to 13.2% for sales that are up over 4% at 5,084 million euros.

Over the past year, the aircraft manufacturer has taken orders totaling 5,024 million euros, bringing its order backlog to 19,376 million euros at 31 December 2018. This includes 36 Rafale for India, 36 Rafale for Qatar and one Rafale for Egypt.
