EssilorLuxottica: no dividend at next AGM

(CercleFinance.com) - EssilorLuxottica says that its board of directors has decided not to submit a dividend distribution to its AGM of 25 June.

In the event of a sufficiently solid recovery in the second half, it could offer an exceptional payment before the end of 2020.

The board also asked directors to implement measures to reduce the group's operating and cash costs, also taking the initiative to reduce the remuneration of its own members by 50%.

Finally, it approved the creation of a Covid-19 fund of 100 million euros to protect the human capital of the Franco-Italian optical giant, a fund that will support employees and their families in need.
