Essilor: merger with Luxottica approved at AGM.

(CercleFinance.com) - Essilor has announced that its shareholders have approved all resolutions proposed at the special and mixed general meetings, including those relating to the proposed merger between Essilor and Luxottica.


Shareholders have therefore approved the appointment of members of the future board of directors of EssilorLuxottica, including eight members appointed by Delfin, the controlling shareholder of the Italian manufacturer of spectacle frames, and eight designated by Essilor.

The deal it therefore going according to plan. The contribution of Luxottica shares held by Delfin to the French ophthalmic glass giant is scheduled for the end of 2017.
