Thales: signs a contract with Airbus Defence & Space

(CercleFinance.com) - Thales Alenia Space, a company specialising in space altimetry that is owned by Thales (67%) and Leonardo (33%), has announced signing a contract worth nearly 88 million euros with Airbus Defence and Space, for the development of two interferometric radar altimeters IRIS - Interferometric Radar altimeter for Ice and Snow.


This equipment will be integrated into the Cristal mission of the Copernicus programme, whose satellite provides Earth observation data, including polar areas, to measure climate change.
