Thales: JV ramps up production of X-ray detectors
(CercleFinance.com) - Thales has announced that it is ramping up its production of medical imaging solutions in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
It will soon be able to nearly double productivity to deliver 400 Trixell X-ray detectors per week.
Based in Moirans (Isère), Trixell is a joint venture between Thales (51%), Philips Healthcare (24.5%) and Siemens Healthineers (24.5%) that manufactures X-ray detectors to meet the needs of its partners and system manufacturers.
Thales' radiology solutions produce high-quality radiological images that enable healthcare professionals to assess and monitor the condition of Covid-19 patients, both in the radiology room and directly at their bedsides.
