Sodexo: announces acquisition in UK

(CercleFinance.com) - This morning Sodexo announces the acquisition of Alliance in Partnership (AiP), a Birmingham-based British company that is specialised in catering in the education sector.


The terms of the transaction were not specified.

Soxexo, which is specialised in contract catering, points out that AiP, which was created in 1998, "has grown considerably over the last few years through organic growth and acquisitions. The company has stayed true to its ethos of supplying high quality, locally sourced and seasonal meals at competitive prices, a focus shared by Sodexo."

Sodexo did not specify AiP's sales, although its client portfolio has 418 schools and it employs about 1,500 people. According to its website, AiP serves "over 75,000 meals a day". The group's CEO, Paul Rogers, will remain in office.
