Bic: 2022 adjusted EPS up 19.3%

(CercleFinance.com) - Bic has reported FY 2022 sales of 2,234 million euros, up 13.
8% at constant exchange rates compared with the previous year.

Adjusted operating income rose by 11.4% to 311 million euros, demonstrating the its resilience in the face of headwinds. Thus, the impact of cost inflation was more than offset by volume increases, price adjustments and cost savings, Bic says.

Net income for 2022 was 209.million euros, for adjusted net income of 5.12 eurosnper share, compared with 4.29 euros a year ago, up 19.3%.

For 2023, sales growth is expected to be between +5% and +7% at constant currencies, thanks to the combined effect of price, mix and volume increases. It expects to improve its adjusted operating income and adjusted operating margin in FY 2023, the group added.
