Imerys: net attributable income up 52% in 2018

(CercleFinance.com) - Sales amounted to 4,590 million euros in 2018, up 6.
8% compared to 2017.
This growth includes organic sales growth of +3.4%.

"In addition to a high basis of comparison, volumes were impacted by a slowdown in industrial markets (abrasives, foundry, paints & coatings, and plastics) in the second half of the year, particularly in the fourth quarter," the company said.

Underlying operating profit was 562.1 million euros in 2018, up 2.0% compared to 2017, while its operating margin was 12.2%.
