Imerys: Go-ahead from Brussels for takeover of Kerneos.

(CercleFinance.com) - Imerys has announced that on 20 June it received unconditional approval from the European Commission for its planned acquisition of Kerneos.


The relevant staff representative bodies have already given a favourable opinion on this project. The completion of this acquisition is now subject to just receiving a final regulatory clearance in South Africa.

As announced on 11 December, the group of specialty minerals for industry believes that the deal should be closed by the end of July.
