Pernod Ricard: successful 2 billion dollar bond issue

(CercleFinance.com) - On Monday evening, Pernod Ricard announced the terms of a new bond issue totalling 2 billion dollars, comprising three tranches: Long 7 years, Long 10 years and 30 years.


Pernod Ricard placed these bonds with an average coupon of 1.79% and an average maturity of 14.5 years. This transaction enables Pernod Ricard to extend the average maturity of its bond debt from 6.0 years to 7.2 years.

The net proceeds of this bond issue will be used for general corporate purposes, including the partial or total repayment of bonds of 500 million bonds maturing in April 2021, bearing interest at an annual rate of 5.75%, along with 1,500 million dollars of bonds maturing in January 2022, bearing interest an annual rate of 4.45%, the group said.
