Danone: recurring EPS edges up in 2022

6% increase in recurring EPS for 2022 to E3.43, despite a 1.5 point decline in its recurring operating margin to 12.2%, with reinvestment in brands, product superiority, organisations and skills.
The food group's net sales reached nearly 27.7 billion euros, up 13.9%, including 7.8% LFL, with a price effect of +8.7% and a volume/mix effect of -0.8%.
Its Board of Directors will propose a dividend of two euros per share, up 3.1%, at the General Meeting on 27 April. If approved, this dividend will be detached from the share on 9 May 9 and payable on 11 May.
Danone's 2023 targets are in line with its medium-term aims, targeting LFL sales growth of +3% to +5% and a moderate improvement in its underlying operating margin.
