Danone: confirms medium-term targets

(CercleFinance.com) - At an investor day held in London yesterday, Danone confirmed most of its short- and medium-term targets.


In detail, in 2018 the agri-food group still expects, double-digit growth in net earnings per common share, excluding FX factors and the sale of shares in Yakult.

Ditto for its targets through to 2020, which by then include organic growth of 4% to 5% (growth was 3.1%, like-for-like for the "new Danone" over the first nine months of 2018) and an underlying operating margin of over 16% (compared with 14.3% in H1 2018).

However, there is a slight nuance: the group's target for ROIC of 12% has been postponed until 2022, mainly due to changes in currencies and the new accounting framework adopted.
