AXA: H1 net income up, more share buybacks
(CercleFinance.com) - AXA has reported a 3% increase in net income to 4.
11 billion euros for H1 2022, with an 8% increase in underlying earnings (+7% on an organic basis) to 3.92 billion euros (or 1.65 euro per share).
Revenues edged up 2% to 55.1 billion euros, including a 1% increase at constant exchange rates, driven by property and casualty insurance (+1%), health insurance (+13%) and asset management (+4%), which compensated for a fall in life and savings insurance (-5%).
Again confident in the main targets of its 2023 strategic plan, AXA also announced the launch of a new share buyback program for up to one billion euros.
