AXA: 24,000 subscribers to 'Shareplan 2018'

(CercleFinance.com) - AXA says that about 24,000 employees from 36 countries, representing over 23% of the group's salaried workforce concerned, have subscribed to its "Shareplan 2018" share offering, a reserved capital increase announced on 24 August.


The total subscription amounted to nearly 330 million euros corresponding to the issue of over 15 million new shares, subscribed at the price of 18.56 euros for the usual offering and 21.83 euros for the leverage offer.

The new shares are created with full rights as of 1 January 2018. This offering increases the total number of outstanding AXA shares, which amounted to 2,438,770,645 on 30 November 2018. Following SharePlan 2018, AXA's employees hold 5.17% of the share capital and 6.46% of the voting rights.
