Sanofi: caps out-of-pocket insulin costs in US
(CercleFinance.com) - Sanofi said on Wednesday it would lower out-of-pocket cost of insulin for uninsured patients in the US, while making the drug more accessible in under-served communities.
Effective July 1, uninsured people living with diabetes in the United States will be able to obtain one or multiple Sanofi insulins with a valid prescription for a total of 35 dollars for a 30-day supply.
Previously, the program was being offered for 99 dollars a month.
In 2021, its insulin program was used more than 97,000 times and provided more than 37 million dollars in savings to people living with diabetes.
