Sanofi: invests in Owkin

(CercleFinance.com) - Sanofi has announced a 180 million euro equity investment in Owkin, an artificial intelligence and precision medicine company that develops predictive artificial intelligence models for biomedicine.


A new strategic collaboration will be established around research and development programs in four forms of cancer, with an upfront payment of 90 million euros over three years, coupled with additional milestone payments.

Both companies' combined initiatives will build robust disease models, while maintaining the confidentiality of large data sets from different research institutions and hospitals.
