Sanofi: 400 jobs at risk - union calls for strike

(CercleFinance.com) - The radio station France Inter this morning said that 400 jobs dedicated to pharmaceutical research will disappear at Sanofi.


In any case, the CEO himself confirmed this recently - and clearly, this is not acceptable, Thierry Bodin of the CGT (trade union) said to France Inter.

The public radio says that while Sanofi had announced a thousand job cuts in France last June, at the same time the company relaunched its investments in the Lyon region, backed by funding of 610 million euros, intended to rebuild France as its world centre of excellence in vaccine research and production.

France Inter has announced that the CGT and other trade union organisations from all Sanofi's business units are calling for a strike this Tuesday.
