Quadient: sells APS business

(CercleFinance.com) - Business process automation and customer experience management group Quadient announces that it has reached an agreement with the Dutch private equity firm Standard Investment to sell its automatic packaging systems (APS) business and its production facility at Drachten in the Netherlands.


The Drachten site has approximately 240 employees. Quadient's Document System production will be gradually transferred to Quadient's other industrial sites and suppliers, therefore ensuring the continuity of the business.

The transaction, which remains subject to certain conditions, is expected to close in the summer of 2021. The total sale price amounts to over 20 million euros. This deal will result in significant cost optimisation over time.
