Bouygues: Colas wins metro line contract in Canada

(CercleFinance.com) - Colas and Parsons, partners in a consortium of which Colas is the representative, announce that they have been selected by the City of Edmonton, in Alberta, Canada, to design, build and finance the western extension of the Valley Line light rail line.


The contract, which is split 50/50 between both partners, is worth 1.7 billion Canadian dollars (approximately one billion euros). Work is scheduled to start in the summer of 2021, with delivery scheduled for late 2026.

This 14 km-long extension will comprise fourteen new stations and two aerial stations serving key sites. In particular, the route will include 2.1 km of raised tracks and two maintenance and storage facilities.
