Bouygues: 9m current operating profit down 12%

(CercleFinance.com) - Bouygues has published 9m 2018 net income, group share of 772 million euros, up 12% y-o-y, although its current operating profit is down 12% at 820 million euros.


The fall in the latter is due to the fall in current operating profit of the group's construction business due to difficulties in finalising three projects, even though this is partly offset by a significant increase in the profitability of Bouygues Telecom and TF1's sound results.

However, the conglomerate boasts very good commercial performances in all divisions, including a record construction backlog of 33.8 billion euros, and expects steady, or slightly lower operating profit in 2018.
