Vallourec: redudancy plan in US

(CercleFinance.com) - On Monday Vallourec announced a plan to reduce its workforce in North America, in response to the collapse in activity forecast by its oil and gas clients, with over 900 layoffs on the cards.


This plan, which concerns over a third of the total workforce in North America, will affect all factories and support functions in the area. It will take effect in the next few weeks, after internal information and regulatory obligations have been met.

In addition, the specialist in seamless tubes is implementing measures to adapt the hours worked according to business, as well as reducing fixed costs and investments, while strengthening safety measures against Covid-19.
