L'Oréal: negotiates acquisition of Mugler and Azzaro

(CercleFinance.com) - This morning the French cosmetics giant, L'Oreal, said that it has entered into exclusive negotiations with Clarins to acquire the Mugler and Azzaro brands.


No amount has yet been specified.

Cyril Chapuy, President L'Oréal Luxe, said: "The perfume category is at the heart of our global strategy for growth at L'Oréal Luxe."

Subject to usual conditions and reservations, the acquisition is expected to be closed in the second half of 2019.
