L'Oréal: 2017 off to a good start.
(CercleFinance.com) - Published on Tuesday after the market closed, L'Oréal's Q1 2017 sales reached approximately 7.
05 billion euros, up 7.5% and up 4.2% like-for-like relative to Q1 2016.
The "Consumer Products" division of the world's leading cosmetics company alone generated revenues of 3.23 billion euros, up 4% as reported and up 1.4% like-for-like. Luxury goods sales reached 2.16 billion euros, up 17.8% as reported and up 12.2% like-for-like.
Finally, the "Professional products" and "Active cosmetics" divisions respectively contributed 858.2 million euros and 603.2 million euros to total sales (-1.8% and + 2.8% on a comparable basis; +0.8 and +7.6% as reported), while "The Body Shop" posted revenues of 197.2 million euros (+2.3% and -1.4% as reported).
