TotalEnergies: agreement with Air France for SAF fuel

(CercleFinance.com) - TotalEnergies and Air France-KLM have signed a memorandum of understanding for the supply of over one million cubic metres (800,000 tonnes) of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) by TotalEnergies to Air France-KLM airlines over a 10-year period, starting in 2023.


This sustainable aviation fuel will be mainly for flights leaving France (in accordance with French legislation) and the Netherlands.

Sustainable aviation fuels offer on average at least an 80% reduction in lifecycle CO2 emissions compared to their fossil equivalent.
