TotalEnergies: deploys strategy in Kazakhstan

(CercleFinance.com) - TotalEnergies is deploying its energy transition strategy in Kazakhstan with the sale of its subsidiary Total E&P Dunga GmbH and the giant Mirny wind power project.


On 28 November 2022, TotalEnergies signed an agreement for the sale of its subsidiary Total E&P Dunga GmbH to the Kazakh company Oriental Sunrise Corp Ltd. for 330 million dollars.

Total E&P Dunga GmbH holds a 60% interest in the Dunga onshore oil field in Kazakhstan, representing a production share of approximately 7,400 barrels of oil equivalent per day in 2022.

TotalEnergies is also strengthening its presence in renewable energies in the country.
