TotalEnergies: solar power plant commissioned near Gien

(CercleFinance.com) - TotalEnergies announces the commissioning of its largest photovoltaic power plant in France, with a capacity of 55 megawatts (MW).


Located north-east of Gien (Loiret), it consists of 126,000 panels installed on a 75 hectare site.

This installation will produce approximately 64 GWh per year, the equivalent of the annual electricity consumption of 38,000 people, and will prevent the release of more than 550,000 tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere over the plant's lifetime.

In addition, in mid-November TotalEnergies said that it won 51 MW of solar projects in the 10th tender period (CRE4) of the French Energy Regulatory Commission, eight projects that will be commissioned by the end of 2023.
