Total: solar power plant inaugurated near Béziers

(CercleFinance.com) - Having announced its entry into the solar market in Spain, Total Quadran, its subsidiary dedicated to the production of renewable electricity in France, announces that on it has inaugurated the "ZABO" solar power plant in the Béziers Ouest commercial area.


Located in a six-hectare retention basin with optimal sunshine, this power plant, which has an installed capacity of three MWp, will produce nearly 4.8 GWh of electricity p.a., thus covering the energy needs of approximately 2,600 inhabitants.

The power plant is equipped with a tracker system, which enables modules to follow the sun's path, as well as sensors, making it possible to position photovoltaic panels in a horizontal position in the event of rising water in the basin.
