Total: new exploration block in Brazil
(CercleFinance.com) - Total and its partners Qatar Petroleum and Petronas have won the block C-M-541 at the 16th ANP bidding round held in Brazil on Thursday.
This block is located deep offshore from the Campos Campos basin, at a depth of about 3,000 metres under water.
Total will be the operator of the block with 40%, alongside Qatar Petroleum (40%) and Petronas (20%). The consortium plans to drill an initial exploration well at the start of 2021.
