Total: Ichthys LNG exports start

(CercleFinance.com) - On Tuesday Total announces that the first shipment of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from Ichthys LNG has just left Darwin in the Northern Territory of Australia, after production started in late July.


The energy group says that Icthys LNG will develop reserves of over three billion barrels of oil equivalent located off Western Australia, including about 500 million barrels of condensate.

At full capacity, offshore facilities and two onshore gas liquefaction plant trains will provide 8.9 million tonnes per year (Mtpa) of LNG and 1.65 Mtpa of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), as well as 100,000 barrels of condensate per day.
