Total: presence strengthened in Mauritania.
(CercleFinance.com) - On Friday Total announced that it had reinforced its exploration operations in Mauritania through the acquisition of a new deep offshore license.
The oil giant has reached an agreement with the Mauritanian government to sign an exploration-production contract for exploration of hydrocarbons on the block C7, which covers 7,300 square kilometres. Total will be the operator, with a majority stake of 90%, alongside the SMHPM (Mauritanian Company of Hydrocarbons and Mining), which will hold the rest. Copyright (c) 2017 CercleFinance.com.
