CNP Assurances: 'A1' rating assigned by Moody's

(CercleFinance.com) - CNP Assurances has announced that Moody's has awarded it an "A1" rating for its financial strength, with a "stable" outlook, which is a one-notch higher than the "A" rating, with a "stable" outlook, that is currently attributed by S&P Global Ratings.

"The assignment of an A1 rating to CNP Assurances by Moody's underlines the Group's positioning among the most solid insurance companies in Europe, its strong competitive position and its excellent financial flexibility," said Antoine Lissowski, the insurer's CFO.

CNP Assurances explains that the "A" rating given by the US rating agency means that the group is subject to a low credit risk, and that factor 1 indicates that it is in the upper part of the "A" category."
