Carrefour: Q3 sales up 8.4% LFL

(CercleFinance.com) - Carrefour has reported Q3 sales of 19.
69 billion euros, down 2.5% overall, but up 8.4% LFL, its "best performance since at least 20 years".

The French retail group points out 3.8% growth in comparable terms in France, with a transformation that is accelerating in hypermarkets (+2.5%), with continued growth at supermarkets (+4.9%) and convenience stores (+5.3%).

A ce stade, Carrefour anticipe pour l'année 2020 "une dynamique commerciale soutenue et une amélioration du levier opérationnel des activités de distribution", ajoutant qu'elles "bénéficient du succès du plan Carrefour 2022 dans un contexte de marché résiliant".

At this stage, for FY 2020 Carrefour expects "Excellent momentum underway in the Group... a marked improvement in the NPS, record like-for-like growth", adding that this is "confirming the success of the Carrefour 2022 transformation plan".
