Carrefour: denies approaching Casino

(CercleFinance.com) - Carrefour has denied approaching Casino and is surprised that there are rumours that a merger proposal has been submitted to Casino's board of directors, as this does not exist.


The difficulties that face Casino group and its controlling shareholder cannot justify untimely communication, which is false and which is completely unfounded, the group said.

Concentrated on the execution of its 2022 transformation plan, Carrefour is examining legal action that it may take so halt these unacceptable insinuations, management added.
