Air Liquide: wants to increase sale price of Schülke

(CercleFinance.com) - The industrial gas supplier Air Liquide wants to raise the sale price of its subsidiary Schülke, according to the FT this morning.

Schülke, a company headquartered in Germany, is a leader in the field of infection, prevention and hygiene. With 130 years' experience, it has over 1,200 employees in 22 countries.

Air Liquide hoped to obtain around 1 billion euros from this sale. However, after the current crisis, it seems reasonable to believe that long-term demand for hygiene products will increase significantly, broker said Aurel BGC this morning.

The sale of its subsidiary Schülke will enable Air Liquide to continue to develop its health activities, while enabling Schülke to benefit from the best opportunities for its long-term development.

However, nothing absolutely guarantees that it will result in an actual divestment, the group said.
