Air Liquide: wins contract in Kazakhstan

(CercleFinance.com) - On Wednesday morning Air Liquide announced the signing of a long-term nitrogen supply contract with Kazakhstan Petrochemical Industries (KPI).


In detail, the local engineering joint venture Air Liquide Munay Tech Gases, which is 75%-owned by the French group and 25% by the national oil company, will build and then operate a unit that can supply up to 8,000 Nm3/h of nitrogen to the polypropylene plant which KPI is building in the Karabatan Basin in Kazakhstan.

The site, which will require an investment of 15 million euros, is set to be operational by the end of 2021.
