Air Liquide: disposal of subsidiary Air Liquide Fuzhou

(CercleFinance.com) - Air Liquide China announces the signing of an agreement with its client Fujian Shenyuan New Materials Co.
Ltd, for the sale of its subsidiary Air Liquide Fuzhou Co. Ltd. This company owns and operates a set of dedicated industrial gas units located in Fujian (southeastern China).

The divested industrial gas complex includes a coal gasification unit, as well as an air gas separation unit, a synthetic gas purification unit and an ammonia plant.

This decision is coherent with Air Liquide's strategy of focusing on its large industrial basins and other high-potential activities, particularly in China. It is also in line with the Group's Climatic targets, management said. .

This transaction will have an exceptional negative impact, albeit limited, on the group's H1 2019 net income, although does not call into question the group's outlook for 2019, it added.
