Air Liquide: Q1 sales growth reaches 8.6%

(CercleFinance.com) - Air Liquide announces Q1 2019 sales of 5.
441 million euros, up 8.6% as reported, including comparable growth of 5%, excluding positive FX and energy effects of +2.9% and + 0.7% respectively.

Revenues were boosted by strong growth in gas & services sales (+4.8%). Engineering & construction continued to grow (+5%) and the global markets & technologies business continued to report strong growth (+15.9%).

Efficiencies will become increasingly important, as part of an annual objective that has been increased to 400 million euros, the group said, which, in a comparable environment, is confident in its ability to report earnings growth at constant exchange rates in 2019.
