JCDecaux: wins 314 million euro advertising contract

(CercleFinance.com) - JCDecaux announces that it has won a five-year contract with Network Rail after a call for tenders, in which the company specialising in outdoor advertising will provide Network Rail's stations with a 100%-digital optimised environment.


This partnership, worth 280 million pounds (over 314 million euros) will provide stations that managed by Network Rail with a fully digital environment, with digital screens being set up at them. This contract hence covers the advertising of transport platforms located throughout the United Kingdom, including stations such as Birmingham New Street, Glasgow Central, London Liverpool Street, London Victoria, London Waterloo and Manchester Piccadilly.

"The new contract begins in December 2018 and will provide Network Rail with significant income to be reinvested back into the railway, helping to support the Railway Upgrade Plan. It will also provide additional benefits for station users such as interactive information screens, providing passengers and their stations with better information about the station they are in and how to navigate it," the group explained.
