Safran: wins 4.2 billion dollar contract in China

(CercleFinance.com) - Hainan Airlines, a subsidiary of HNA Group, has signed a memorandum of understanding with CFM International for the purchase of LEAP-1A engines to power 55 Airbus A320neo.
The contract is worth 4.2 billion dollars.

The contract was signed in the presence of the Chinese Minister of Commerce Zhong Shan and the French Minister of Europe and foreign affairs, Jean-Yves Le Drian, and the Minister of economy and finance, Bruno Le Maire.

Chen Feng, Chairman of HNA Group's Board of Directors said that the majority of HNA's fleet is powered by CFM engines. The products are efficient and we have been well supported by CFM's team. We believe that LEAP-1A engines will help our group continue our profitable business.
