Covivio Hotels: approves 2019 dividend at AGM

(CercleFinance.com) - Covivio Hotels reports that its Combined General Meeting of Shareholders that was held on 7 May approved the payment of a dividend for FY 2019 of 1.
55 euro per share, as well as the option to receive this dividend payment in shares.

The price of shares to be issued to pay the dividend has been set at 16.07 euros. The shares thus issued will carry dividend rights as from 1 January 2020 and will be subject to an application for admission to trading on Euronext Paris.

The shareholders attending the Supervisory Board meeting have already undertaken to subscribe to this option. Covivio Hotels' balance sheet will thus be strengthened by the completion of a capital increase of between 182 million and 188 million euros.

The market seemed to like this news, with the share closing up over 6% at over 20 euros on Thursday.
